Verona School District has been named a Trustee District for the Garden State Coalition of Schools

Verona School District has been named a Trustee District for the Garden State Coalition of Schools (GSCS).  The GSCS is the only education focused advocacy group in New Jersey that represents Board of Education members, superintendents, administrators, parents and community members.  In particular, the GSCS represents the unique interests of the suburban schools of New Jersey.  In light of the recent budget changes and reduction of state aid to our schools, we are confident that assuming a leadership position within an organization that represents the interests of like-minded schools in New Jersey will only enhance our ability to effectively manage our school district.  We also believe strongly that this designation will allow Verona to collaborate with a number of other school districts across the state to continually improve our approach to the daily and long term planning necessary to assure the continued success of our schools.
