The New Jersey Arts Incubator’s TERRA exhibit

NJAI studio at Essex Green

The New Jersey Arts Incubator’s TERRA exhibit opened on February 20th with over 500 people walking through the NJAI studio at Essex Green to experience this art exhibit, and West Orange.

The exhibit is open from 1-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment.  The closing night reception will be held on March 20th from 6-9pm and will feature a musical performance by Universe of the Oankali Omnitet.

Verona Church Member Completes Mission Trip

Many residents of Awka, Nigeria, had cause to celebrate in March after being visited from a delegation from the First Congregational Church of Verona and Faith United Church of Christ of Union, NJ.

After three years of planning, collecting, and raising money, Marjorie Royle, Douglas Taylor, and Felix Molokwu, representatives from the two churches, spent a week in Nigeria delivering new and used items to a variety of educational and social service agencies.

They provided a used 14-passenger van, donated by the Volunteers of America, (more…)

It’s time for another Spring Clean-Up on the Hilltop!!
The Hilltop Conservancy is holding its 7th Annual Spring Clean-up in the Reservation.  This year’s event will be a 3-day affair starting Friday, March 26th and going through Sunday, March 28th, from 9am to 3pm each day.
