Bye Bye Birdie is a fun musical telling the story of a popular rock star, Conrad Birdie who is being drafted into the U.S. Army and the teenage girl, Kim who is chosen to give him a farewell kiss. Kim’s boyfriend Hugo is not happy that she is going to kiss another on national television, but the man writing the song Conrad is going to sing to Kim is hoping that he will become rich, marry Rosie, and get his nag of a mother out of his life. Great songs bring the play to life and the set draws you into every scene.

The cast and crew consist of over 50 Verona students from elementary school through high school. The first rehearsal was June 28th and what they accomplish in 4 weeks is amazing.

The lines are learned, sets built and painted, music rehearsed and dance steps perfected.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors in advance and $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors at the door.
