<description>Knotweed is very difficult to remove because as long as its extensive root is viable the plant will regrow. The entire root must be removed or the plant has to be injected with pesticide and/or starved by not allowing its leaves to grow. Its a real problem here in NJ and its threatening our public (and private) spaces. Good Luck! You are doing great work.

<description>I talked about maybe enabling the somocon.org for blogging too at the 4/11 meeting and think it is a good idea. That is one for the board to discuss.

Thanks for your time, your son&#039;s time and also for going to expense of buying some dedicated tools for the work for up in the Mayapple portion. The Conservancy has tools though some as the saws we used are not in that great of shape and having to return them at the end of day or arranging for transfer can be prohibitive on time. That is the area that we will prepare for the eventual expansion of the trail network into the new acereage so the work you do, such as great work the four of us accomplished Sunday midday, will set the stage for a more robust and exicting trail network in the reservation in 2010 and beyond.

I meant to get you the Yellow paint for the Lenape. I can get you that though clearing extra brush, removing any litter you can and such would be good first steps before re-blazing though Saturday would have been a good day to re-blaze. Also have the Blue for the eventual Mayapple trail we walked a portion of two though that is a later phase as discussed.
